Manager, Trims

Coach is looking for an experienced Trim Manager to support our global product teams in sourcing, developing, and managing textile trims for apparel collections. Responsibilities Meet with trim vendors to gather new inspirations and research, presenting findings to design teams. Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to evaluate, select, and track trim suitability for each product line. Oversee the trim development process for Outlet Men’s & Women’s lines from concept to bulk production. Manage production calendar, sample tracking, testing, and costing. Work closely with design to align trim selections with collection aesthetics. Handle budget management, including pricing, lead times, and cost control. Coordinate sample ordering with Trim Coordinator support. Provide technical expertise for risk assessment and mitigation of trim applications. Maintain material library and oversee its upkeep. Prepare and present weekly trim cross‑functional meetings using PowerPoint. Create and maintain Seasonal trim Boards, binders, and SMS Trim charts with accurate documentation. Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to meet key dates and target prices. Review trim approvals with design teams to uphold quality standards and regulatory compliance. Conduct thorough testing and evaluation for durability, performance, and care instructions. Maintain strong relationships with trim suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times, evaluating supplier performance for quality, delivery, and ethical standards. Stay current on trends, materials, technologies, and sustainable practices. Qualifications 3–5 years of trim management or related apparel industry experience. Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, or a related field. Strong understanding of textile trims. Excellent communication, negotiation, written and verbal skills. Proficient in budget management. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines. Strong initiative, prioritization, and organizational skills. Experience collaborating in fast‑paced, global environments. Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic settings. Compensation & Benefits Base Pay: $75,000 – $90,000 annually (USD).
