This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers two openings: one at a middle school and one at an elementary school, both near Upper Darby, PA. You’ll play a vital role in fostering student resilience, providing support to families, and partnering with faculty to promote a positive school climate.

Key Qualifications:

• Active MSW license in Pennsylvania required
• School-based experience essential
• Compliance with PA Dept of Education requirements:
  • Hold an active PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate (required for emergency permit) OR
  • Hold an active LSW or LCSW and be currently enrolled in a PDE-approved school social worker program
• Ability to obtain and maintain required PA clearances
• Experience or ease working in urban settings
• Comfortable with disclosing required district details prior to submission
• Ready for an initial Zoom interview

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect counseling to students, addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to implement intervention strategies and support plans
• Assist students and families in accessing resources within the school and community
• Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed
• Complete all required documentation and maintain confidentiality
• Promote inclusive, culturally responsive practices daily

Position Details:

• Full-time: 37.5 hours per week (8:30AM–4:00PM)
• Contract runs from start date ASAP through June 10, 2027
• Onsite at either a middle school or elementary school setting
