This role is essential to creating a positive patient experience while keeping appointments, records, and daily administrative tasks organized. Key Responsibilities Check patients in and out, register new patients, and collect copays and deposits. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage follow-up visits. Prepare patient paperwork, maintain medical records, and update electronic charts. Use EMR systems to support daily administrative workflows. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA, OSHA, and facility guidelines. Communicate professionally with patients, families, physicians, and team members. Help maintain an organized front office and assist with preparing examination rooms. Contact patients about earlier appointment openings to optimize schedules. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. At least one year of administrative experience. At least one year of hands‑on EMR experience. Healthcare facility experience preferred. Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software. Knowledge of medical terminology and patient confidentiality. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
