What You'll Do You'll support attorneys in managing residential and commercial real estate transactions from intake through closing - preparing and reviewing legal documents, coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders, brokers, and title companies, and keeping every closing organized and on track. Your day-to-day will include performing due diligence, assisting with title searches and title insurance matters, tracking key dates and contingencies, and maintaining accurate files and checklists. You'll draft and review Purchase and Sale Agreements and other transactional documents, help resolve issues that pop up during closing, and make sure everything stays compliant with firm procedures and applicable law. You may also help maintain case management systems, communicate directly with clients and third parties, and lend a hand organizing estate planning documents. What We're Looking For Conveyancing & Closing: Coordinate the closing process from open to finish. Prepare HUD-1/Closing Disclosures (CD), deeds, and closing packages; proficiency in Qualia is a plus. Title Work: Order, review, and clear title examinations; resolve issues regarding liens, easements, or local municipal tracking. Lender & Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for home buyers, sellers, real estate brokers, and mortgage loan officers. Document Prep: Draft purchase and sale agreements, riders, and loan documentation. Mandatory 5+ years experience conducting due diligence for residential and commercial matters, including reviewing property records, closing packages, and transaction-related documents. Knowledge of title insurance practices and title-related issues, including coordinating with title companies and resolving title defects. Familiarity with commercial real estate transactions, including drafting and organizing documents for commercial purchases, sales, and financing. Prior experience as a real estate paralegal or in a similar role at a law firm or title/closing environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple files and deadlines without missing a beat. Clear, professional written and verbal communication for working with clients, lenders, brokers, and your internal team. Comfort with standard office software and case or document management systems - and enthusiasm for learning new tools. Associate's or bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. This is an in-office position with the opportunity to earn a flexible hybrid/remote schedule as you become established in the role and demonstrate strong performance and independence.
