Role Description The Senior Litigation Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Boston, MA. This position involves managing an active litigation caseload from inception through trial, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, and preparing reports to clients and carriers. The associate will handle depositions of parties and witnesses, participate in court appearances, mediations, and hearings, and collaborate with partners and colleagues on case strategy and trial preparation. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing complex facts and insurance coverage issues, evaluating exposure, advising clients on risk and litigation options, and ensuring timely, high-quality work product. The role also includes mentoring junior attorneys and working closely with support staff to maintain organized files, meet deadlines, and uphold firm and client service standards. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, with demonstrated experience in insurance defense and civil litigation. Proficiency in drafting and arguing Motions, pleadings, and other litigation briefs. Advanced Research skills, including case law analysis, statute interpretation, and investigative fact development. Experience conducting Depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts, with effective examination and cross-examination techniques. Comfort and professionalism appearing before various Courts, including handling hearings, conferences, and trials. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in Massachusetts (or eligibility for prompt admission). Several years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, tort, or commercial litigation. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, strong analytical judgment, and the ability to manage multiple matters independently.
