Gustav & Rudy Contractors, Inc. has an opening for a Project Manager/Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing company in the commercial construction industry.

 

Project Manager Description and Responsibilities:

Experience in managing commercial construction projects, experience scheduling work, managing subcontractors, managing budget/project costs, approving project invoices, submittals, RFI’s and change orders. Experience in estimating projects for proposals/bids.

Manage overall project, performance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, innovation, cost, and customer/owner satisfaction) - planning, assigning, and directing work. Attend job meetings, including pre-construction, project, and staff meetings, review supplier and subcontractor quotes; order materials for jobs, and ensure that project reporting is submitted on time (Submittals, Payment Progress, etc.). Monitor quantities on completed work, expedite change order work, record invoices, and prepare pay applications.

Serve as the single point of contact, establishing, maintaining, and managing customer/owner, and subcontractor expectations regarding overall project performance to owner and team members.

 

Keys to Success – Qualifications

3 - 5 years of experience successfully managing commercial carpentry and general contracting.

Associate or bachelor’s degree – Construction Management or equivalent construction management experience.

Ability to read/analyze and interpret project plans, specifications, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and owners in verbal and written format.

Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive, Bluebeam, HeavyBid and Foundation. Prior experience using HeavyBid and/or Foundation software is helpful, but we are willing to train.
