Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. This position requires thorough understanding and application of approaches, theories, methodologies and application in a concrete organizational context.As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for:Placing and follow-up on Purchase Orders (PO).Managing relationships with suppliers for PO execution.Managing problems and schedule changes. Update ERP.Advising functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in the field.Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.Contributing to projects as a team member or leading small projects.Working goals typically take 3-6 months to complete and the time horizon for results/impact is typically 2-12 months after the event.To be successful in this role you will:Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sourcing).Have a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Buying-Procurement in the Chemical Industry.Have experience with supplier negotiations with a successful outcome.Have strong work ethics and ability to work under pressureHave strong interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skillsWork EnvironmentThis role is hybrid, with the expectation of 3 days at the office.Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.Working with usOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
