AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We are looking for an experienced, motivated Network Deployment Build Manager to join our Global Network Delivery team. The role involves managing a team of Network Builders, collaborating with internal customers, vendors, and regional colleagues, and driving the stability and sustainability of next‑generation network infrastructure. Travel up to 50% international may be required. This role provides a high level of autonomy to drive network infrastructure stability and sustainability. You will work with your team to deliver established best practices, refine operational procedures, develop new tooling, and proactively seek innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities Manage the technical delivery team, ensuring completion of network rack splits, position plans, HLD reviews, inventory planning, and vendor PR/PO processes. Manage business relationships with vendors and suppliers to prevent material or vendor‑related delays. Ensure readiness and planning for landing of network racks, power, position, and rack configurations. Initiate or manage new projects driving continuous improvement based on lessons learned and AWS standards. Resourcing of projects, guiding teams on deliverables, setting metrics and goals, and aligning with organization‑wide objectives. Basic Qualifications Experience delivering results for large, cross‑functional initiatives/projects or continuous improvement projects. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. Experience in network design, routing protocols, topology design, hardware configuration, and traffic engineering. Travel up to 25% of the time. Preferred Qualifications 6+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, or networking experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent. 3+ years of network engineering and deployments for large‑scale corporate networks, including hands‑on installation, hardware integration, racking, and cabling. 5+ years of such deployments with hands‑on experience in physical infrastructure installations, hardware integration, racking, and cabling. Experience in project management, resource planning, scheduling, status reporting, and prioritizing tasks for multiple projects. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with vendor management experience preferred.
