Key Responsibilities Translate the organization’s vision into actionable strategy in partnership with the Board of Directors and staff. Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan, including actionable goals, deliverables, and measurable outcomes. Lead the development of an annual tactical plan to achieve key operational and financial objectives. Forecast financial trends, manage resources, and maintain balance or surplus operations, growing earned revenue and contributions while controlling costs. Serve as the organization’s ambassador, cultivating relationships with community stakeholders, volunteers, board members, and donors. Design and execute an annual fundraising plan, including capital campaigns and endowment development. Build and lead a high‑performance staff team, providing talent development, retention, and accountability mechanisms. Oversee fiscal management, ensuring prudent stewardship, budgeting, and reporting to support long‑term sustainability. Qualifications Accredited four‑year college degree and/or equivalent work experience. Proven fiscal management of $3 million or more annually in a senior leadership role. Minimum seven years of senior management experience in a YMCA or comparable nonprofit, with direct supervision of multiple staff levels. Demonstrated ability to build and strengthen community relationships. Experience developing innovative programs and enhancing program effectiveness and economic sustainability. Strategic planning and fundraising expertise, including annual campaigns and grant procurement. Strong communication, public engagement, and public‑profile skills. Track record of progressive budgetary leadership and advanced fiscal practices. YMCA Organizational Leader Certification or ability to obtain it within three years. Salary and Benefits Salary: $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. YMCA retirement contribution: 7% by the organization, 5% by the employee (once eligibility is met). YMCA 403(b) savings account with 100% employee contribution. Health plan 100% paid by the Y; employee pays 50% for spouse and family where applicable. Dental plan 100% paid by the Y. Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrued vacation and sick days per personnel policy.
