Quality Manager

Quality Manager Location: Moses Lake, WA Reporting to: Director, Operations Open to Relocation: Yes On-Site/Hybrid/Remote: On-Site Travel Required: 0% Job Summary The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading the Quality organization to enhance business performance and drive a positive continuous improvement culture that is focused on delivering value to the customer. This includes defining and improving quality standards, specifications, and other technical data necessary to meet design intent and manufacturing requirements. Highlights Great work environment Industry leading, highly competitive compensation Steady workload Outstanding benefits package to take care of who’s important to you Experience a committed safety culture Personalized and dedicated support team to keep you on the move What You'll Do Ensure compliance to quality policy, procedures and work instructions, documented quality systems, and all Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) procedures, policies and work instructions. In addition, ensure compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements. The establishment and approval of quality system procedures and standards aligned with emerging segment standards and customer requirement. Establish and support appropriate measurements to monitor internal compliance with approved quality goals and objectives. Initiate the use of world class quality tools, systems and procedures to support the overall operational goals. Develop methods to monitor process parameters in cooperation with production management to provide useful feedback for effective process control and improvement. Participate in disposition and root cause analysis of discrepant material and corrective actions to prevent further discrepancies. Works closely with segment Supplier Quality and Design Engineering teams to improve supplier performance. As a member of the extended global Quality team, assist in the development of a segment-wide system for identifying, tracking, and reporting customer concerns, internal quality issues, supplier quality issues, and appropriate corrective action activities. Assess and implement the appropriate data analysis, quality systems, and inspection criteria and procedures to ensure the high technical integrity of our quality processes and results. Provide and administer an effective system for identifying, tracking, and reporting improvement initiatives. Participate in product development to identify and develop PFMEA, Control Plans, and Critical to Quality attributes to be integrated in production instructions. Provide and administer a program for required internal quality system audits. Develops strategies and programs that improve the quality and efficiency of the various work processes of the company. Develop and maintain relationships with commercial teams, ensuring the voice of the customer is incorporated in Quality measurement and improvement plans. Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering, or similar relevant field and/or 3-5 years experience in quality management activities such as quality systems development, customer and supplier quality relations, process controls, and/or corrective and preventive action Ability and willingness to work in-person in Moses Lake, WA Nice to Have's Experience implementing quality systems in the manufacturing industry 5 years of experience with the use of corrective actions, root cause analysis, statistical methods, advanced product quality planning (APQP) and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA). Knowledge and functional experience in an ISO Quality Management Systems environment preferred. Excellent problem solving skills and analytical abilities. Statistical training, computer skills, related technical background preferred. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of employees and customers. Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing supplier development programs. Demonstrated experience as a change agent in driving a cultural shift from inspection based systems to more proactive, process focused environment. Knowledge of and use of Lean Principles; continuous improvement, process management, 3P, cost downs, TQM (Total Quality Management), Kaizen events, quality containment, root cause analysis, supplier reliability and control plans. Compensation The compensation range for this position is $115k-140k annually.
