Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), every other weekend, some holidays, no call required. Four 12-hour shifts per week scheduling available. Blocked weekend scheduling options available based on preference.

Highlights:

• 27-bed Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic ICU specializing in cardiac surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients
• Patient ratios typically 1-2 patients per nurse; may flex to 3 general care patients based on acuity
• Epic electronic medical records system with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Magnet-designated teaching and referral center ranked as Wisconsin's top hospital
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and specialized therapy services
• Care for complex patient population including CABG, valve repair/replacement, LVAD, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical conditions

Requirements:

• Current Wisconsin or Compact State RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care CVICU experience within the last 3 years required
• Experience with NextStage CVVH/CRRT machine required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and/or acuity adaptable areas preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% overall passing score
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
