Escrow Processing Officer

Position Summary Our client is seeking a highly motivated and hardworking Escrow Processing Officer. The primary function is to analyze and organize all necessary documents to process closing packages, working closely with customers and all parties to coordinate the closing process. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and maintain strict quality standards. Responsibilities / Duties Determine escrow requirements by verifying buyer, seller, and lender instructions including calling on water, taxes and special assessments. Familiar with state and city specific requirements. Closely review lender instructions. Obtain clear title by ordering title reports, resolving title defects, and satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals. Complete calculations by prorating taxes and interest specific to the purchase agreement. Familiarity with seller concessions and the ability to work through a file to obtain funding from the lender. Prepare transaction documents by completing forms and statements; collecting and reviewing existing documents. Schedule closings by reviewing title commitment to ensure file is clear to close. Respond to inquiries from customers, attorneys, agents and brokers. Provide support to the Escrow Department. Specific Knowledge & Skills Proficient with RamQuest Complete Closing Enterprise software and/or similar title insurance software. Must be intimately familiar with construction Post‑TRID CD, Buyer/Seller documents, Deeds, etc. Understanding of Microsoft Office suite and/or Google apps. Familiar with the standard concepts, practices and procedures of the escrow and title process. Detail‑oriented, professional, able to handle confidential information. Strong communication, both written and verbal. Financial and documentation skills. Excellent communication skills on all levels within and outside the organization. Must take pride in quality work and excellent service. Positive outlook and a team‑player with a can‑do attitude. Professional with uncompromising ethics. Experience Minimum 5 years of title insurance experience preferred. At least 2 years of escrow processing experience preferred. Strong experience handling purchase transactions required. Re‑finance transaction experience is a plus. Location Livonia, MI or Troy, MI (Training in Livonia, MI) Work Arrangement Hybrid available after training. Compensation $28.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on experience).
