Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 9.5 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCRN Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience (Preferred) - Charting System Experience (Epic) - Travel Experience Required Description: Unit details involve caring for patients after various surgical procedures. General surgical cases include gallbladder, appendectomy, and bowel surgeries. Orthopedic cases involve total joints and fracture repairs. Urology cases may include cysto, TURP, TURBT, ablation, and robotic surgeries. Neurosurgical cases consist of tumor resections and spine surgeries. Vascular procedures may involve TAVR, FEVAR, amputation, and stents. Endoscopic procedures include ERCP, along with plastics procedures such as mastectomy. Every other weekend is required unless specified otherwise. Occasional floating within the facility scope may be necessary. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, working that day is expected. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, working both is mandatory. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Core items and labs must be completed promptly. All compliance documents are due one week prior to the start. Modules must be completed during orientation and will vary by specialty. Additional unit information includes support from interdisciplinary teams such as IV, respiratory, and pharmacy services. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. The unit caters to a daily census of up to 45 patients. The department consists of 14 designated beds.
