DSP Position at Pride Health

Pride Health is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support our client's healthcare facility in Bronx, NY.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM 2:30 PM

Location: Bronx, NY, 10461

Job Type: Per Diem

Contract Length: Per Diem/Part Time

Pay Range: $17.5-19/hr. *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties

• Provide habilitation services in accordance with each client's individualized service plans (CFA, ISP, Habilitation Plan)
• Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and cleaning
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
• Encourage and support participation in community activities, leisure, work, and the exercise of personal rights
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of direct one-on-one care experience with the developmentally disabled population
• Basic computer skills for data entry required
• Must obtain the following prior to starting: BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association, TB Test and OPWDD Orientation
• Must be physically able to assist with lifting (2550 lbs.) and stand for extended periods
• Ability to remain alert and awake during all shifts
