Learn more about this agency Duties Help As a Mission Support Specialist, GS-12 level you will perform the following duties: Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on assigned administrative matters. Conducts or participates in the evaluation of administrative programs, concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. Maintains a high level of analytical ability to identify issues, recommend actions, and re-engineer processes. Applies a wide range of administrative programs, concepts, laws, policies, practices, and analytical diagnostic methods and techniques to address substantive matters that contain several interrelated issues. You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Carrying out the assignments in conformance with accepted policies and practices for assigned program areas; Exercising judgment in selecting and applying available guidelines related to specific problems or issues; Applying practical knowledge of the basic concepts, principles, regulations, and policies related to logistics and procurement management; Identifying situations or issues and choosing the best approach according to established procedures and practices. OR Education: Have a master's degree (or equivalent graduate degree such as a L.L.B./J.D.) or two (2) academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of successfully completed education and experience.
