As a Project & Proposal Coordinator, you'll work alongside engineers, geologists, project managers, and technical professionals to help win projects that shape communities across Arizona. Every proposal you help coordinate has the potential to become a new roadway, residential development, school, manufacturing facility, commercial building, or other critical infrastructure project.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning a career in construction management, engineering, or the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry. You'll gain hands-on experience learning how projects move from opportunity to award while working closely with experienced professionals across Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing, Survey, Civil Engineering, and Environmental Consulting.

You'll play an important role in coordinating proposals, supporting project pursuits, communicating with clients, organizing project information, and helping our teams win work. Along the way, you'll develop skills that can lead to careers in project management, operations, estimating, business development, engineering, or leadership.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation and submission of proposals for geotechnical, construction materials testing, survey, civil engineering, environmental, and multidisciplinary projects.
• Monitor estimating inboxes, bid forums, and client procurement portals for new opportunities, deadlines, and project updates.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, geologists, and technical staff to gather project scopes, pricing, schedules, and supporting information.
• Help coordinate project pursuits from theinitialopportunity through proposal submission, client follow-up, contract execution, and project handoff.
• Communicate with clientsregardingproposals, pending approvals, requested information, and next steps.
• Edit, organize, and assemble professional proposal documents that reflect Alta's quality and brand.
• Maintain proposal schedules, opportunity trackers, estimating communications, and internal deadlines.
• Organize proposal templates, project descriptions, staff resumes, certifications, and marketing materials.
• Support the Marketing and Business Development teams with proposal coordination,pursuittracking, and process improvements.
• Build relationships across multiple technical disciplines while learning how engineering consulting projects are developed and awarded.

Job Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Two (2) or more years of experience coordinating proposals, marketing, or administrative support in the engineering, architecture, construction, or professional services industry preferred.
• Experience responding to public agency RFQs/RFPs is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
