IT Systems Analyst

About the role Seeking a Junior IT Systems Analyst to support federal technology initiatives remotely. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and able to translate business needs into effective IT solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects with cross-functional teams while developing expertise in system analysis, web development, and database management within a government context. - Analyze, design, and implement scalable IT solutions aligned with project requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation including requirements and workflows.
- Support web interface development using modern frameworks like React or Angular.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and system updates.
- Optimize and maintain PostgreSQL databases including performance tuning and data migration.
- Participate in technical discussions and requirements-gathering meetings.
- Assist with report automation and data-processing improvements.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IT systems analysis or a similar technical role.
- Proficiency in Python and Java programming languages.
- Experience with modern web frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database management, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust clearance (active clearance preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to liaise between business and technical teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
