Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab

What You'll Bring:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiovascular Cath Lab
• Proficiency with Mac Lab and intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, temporary pacemakers, and right heart catheters
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and hemodynamics
• Valid Kansas RN license or Compact license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week, with a schedule determined by staffing needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with additional cardiac support devices
• Prior experience in a similar fast-paced clinical setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Valid RN license for Kansas or a Compact license
• At least 2 years of relevant Cath Lab experience

Other Requirements:

• This is a nicotine-free facility
• No required weekend or holiday shifts, but flexibility may be needed based on unit needs
• No floating requirements; work primarily at the specified location
• Will attend KU NEO orientation on the first week of employment from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Certifications, licensure, travel, and other reimbursements covered as applicable
• Shift details: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 10-hour shifts, scheduled Monday through Friday (dates starting 4/27 or 5/11)
