Job Description MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Tacoma, Washington. Requirements Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or in the process of applying for licensure. At least one year of professional working experience. Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology. Current CPR certification. Must have CCC's. Other requirements determined by the client facility. Duties and Responsibilities The Speech Language Pathologist / SLP is responsible for the assessment of referred patients requiring treatment for speech, hearing, and/or language deficits. They will teach patients how to make sounds, improve voices, and increase oral or written language skills to communicate more effectively. Additionally, they will teach individuals how to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow without choking or inhaling food or liquid. Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders. Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions. Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop, or recover, reliable communication and swallowing skills so the patient can fulfill educational, vocational, and social roles.
