The work is primarily remote but involves regular collaboration with on-site staff. The position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends as necessary to provide comprehensive coverage for student mental health needs.

  Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for students, taking into account each individual's personal history, current concerns, and potential risk factors.

  Collaborate with students to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address their mental health challenges while promoting emotional wellness and school integration.

  Utilize effective evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused therapy, tailored to meet the diverse mental health needs of the student population.

  Engage in coordinated care with other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's treatment process.

  Provide immediate crisis intervention and use de-escalation techniques to support students during mental health emergencies, making referrals for advanced care when necessary.

  Offer psychoeducation to students and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources to foster understanding and support.

  Maintain meticulous documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other essential records in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

  Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development activities to promote collaborative practices and enhance clinical knowledge.

  Stay informed about current laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines related to mental health care within school environments.

The primary focus of this role is the diverse student population within the school, ranging from elementary to high school age. Your work will directly influence their mental, emotional, and social development, ensuring they have the support needed to thrive academically and socially.

  A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

  Must possess current and valid LICSW licensure in the state of Vermont.

  A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, ideally within a mental health or educational context.

  Deep knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based practices, and a trauma-informed care approach.

  Proficient in performing mental health assessments and creating effective treatment plans.
