Veterinary Surgical Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgical Technician to join our Fear Free Certified team at Furever Family Veterinary Care Center in East Moline, IL. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in all responsibilities related to veterinary surgery, supporting surgeons and ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients. Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures, preparing and sterilizing equipment and surgical instruments.
• Monitor anesthesia and vital signs of patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Maintain surgical suites and ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety protocols.
• Provide post-operative care and support to patients as directed by the veterinarian.
• Keep accurate medical records related to surgical procedures and patient care.
• Communicate effectively with veterinary staff and pet owners regarding surgical procedures and recovery.

Requirements

• Certification as a Veterinary Surgical Technician is preferred.
• Equivalent hands-on experience in veterinary surgery is acceptable.
• Strong understanding of veterinary surgical practices, anesthesia, and patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
