The Central Supply and Staffing Coordinator at Regency at Fremont will monitor inventory and order supplies and utilize the organizational tools provided to ensure adequate staffing and scheduling of the nursing staff. The overall purpose of the Staffing Coordinator position is to utilize the organizational tools provided to ensure adequate staffing and scheduling of the nursing staff.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with supply check-in at the time of delivery and verify against purchase orders.
• Forward purchase orders and packing slips to Accounts Payable.
• Distribute supplies to appropriate locations.
• Maintain a cost requisition system.
• Assure that the stock room is clean, safe, and orderly.
• Mark all appropriate supplies for use with the inventory system.
• Obtain data on chargeable supplies used by each resident.
• Utilize spend down sheets.
• Assist with daily and monthly physical inventory.
• Maintain par levels
• Prepares schedule for the nursing department by scheduling all nurse and nursing assistants to ensure state mandated staffing ratios (PPD) are maintained.
  Monitor overtime and make daily staffing adjustments according to census needs.
  Maintain daily roster sheets for each shift.
  Daily review of previous day’s time clock punches with schedules.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years office administrative experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
