Position Overview The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Division of Legal Counsel/Deputy General Legal Counsel/Division of Records is seeking candidates to serve as FOIA/Records Screeners, EnvironmentalProtection Legal Investigator I’s. Processes Freedom of Information Act requests in accordance with the FOIA. Researches and reviews laws, administrative regulations, precedents and other references pertaining to the Agency. Maintains and updates the Freedom of Information Act reference manual for the Agency including revisions and new procedures for the review of confidential and trade secret claims and justifications. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to two years of college plus, One year of experience in investigative work in law enforcement, insurance, security or related field.
