Cardiovascular Operating Room RN

The Operating Room of Surgery focuses on providing cardiac care to surgical and procedural sedation patients across various age groups, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. The role requires collaboration with a variety of provider specialties to ensure optimal patient outcomes for those going home the same day or requiring hospital admission.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac surgeries and procedures.
• Act as a Circulating Nurse in the Operating Room, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate smooth operations and patient care transitions.
• Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively, maintaining accurate records of patient status and interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification.
• AHA ACLS certification.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR or completion of an approved pre-operative nursing course.
• At least two (2) years of experience in an ICU/PCU or medical/surgical acute care setting.
• One (1) year of CVOR/Open Heart experience is REQUIRED.
• ICU experience and scrubbing experience are preferred.

Schedule

Varies/Days, with rotating weekends.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
