Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care. Ensure compliance with the Standards of Nursing Practice and promote cooperation among the health‑care team. Job Requirements Graduate of a school of nursing (Required) One year of recent acute care RN experience (Required) Licenses / Certifications Current RN license in state of practice (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor (Required) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required within 6 months of hire or transfer) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or ENPC meeting PALS requirements (Required within 6 months of hire or transfer) Facility‑Specific Requirements AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS (Required) AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS (Required) Essential Functions Ensure patients’ personal needs are met and assist in reducing unit noise levels. Demonstrate teamwork, maintain patient and staff privacy, and promote a cooperative environment. Document care clearly, concisely, and legibly; deliver quality reports; complete quality monitors as directed. Follow infection control guidelines and obtain history/physical assessment per unit protocols. Review and interpret medical data; identify abnormalities and report promptly. Assist in discharge planning and provide necessary information to appropriate personnel. Recognize signs of distress and function effectively during Code Blue and other emergencies. Accurately administer and chart medications following the hospital “six rights.” Implement and document patient education; assess educational needs. Assist in staff development, attend meetings, and complete department competencies. Ensure accurate billing and documentation of patient charge items to minimize overtime. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
