We will achieve this by focusing on our core values; Care Genuinely for People, Play like a Champion, and Win as One.As the Facilities Director for Flynn Arby's, you will provide enterprise-level leadership, strategy, and oversight for facilities management and maintenance operations across a large, geographically dispersed restaurant portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will serve as a key advisor to Operations and senior leadership, aligning facilities strategy with operational performance, financial objectives, brand standards, and long-term asset management.This role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective facilities performance through scalable systems, strong vendor partnerships, effective field execution, capital planning, and continuous improvement. The Facilities Director will exercise significant independent judgment in establishing programs and standards, managing budgets, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing strategies that improve restaurant uptime, asset reliability, and overall business performance.Responsibilities:Develop and execute a long-term facilities strategy that supports operational performance, brand standards, asset reliability, and business growthEstablish and maintain company-wide policies, standards, programs, and processes for maintenance, repair, facilities management, and capital improvementsServe as the senior facilities advisor to Operations leadership and executive stakeholdersPartner with the Vice President of Operations and senior leadership to establish long-term facilities priorities and strategic initiativesOversee facilities maintenance operations across all assigned markets, ensuring consistent execution, service quality, responsiveness, and adherence to established standardsDrive continuous improvement in work order management, service level agreements, maintenance processes, and field executionEnsure effective prioritization and resolution of facility and equipment issues that impact restaurant operationsMonitor and analyze facilities performance metrics, KPIs, service levels, maintenance spend, and financial data to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunitiesUse data and business insight to improve uptime, reduce costs, increase asset reliability, and improve the overall guest and team member experienceLead, develop, and support a multi-level facilities organization, including managers, technicians, and support functionsBuild a high-performing organization through coaching, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and accountabilityFoster a culture of safety, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellenceCreate an environment where team members are challenged to grow, develop their capabilities, and achieve meaningful resultsDevelop and maintain strategic vendor partnerships that support service quality, responsiveness, cost control, and operational needsLead vendor negotiations, contract management, performance evaluations, service level agreements, and ongoing vendor accountabilityOversee facilities budgets, maintenance spending, capital expenditures, and cost forecastingEnsure financial discipline through effective planning, benchmarking, reporting, and analysisLead facilities-related capital planning in partnership with Operations and FinanceOversee large-scale equipment replacement programs, remodel support, infrastructure improvements, and other facilities-related capital projectsEnsure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and aligned with operational needsIdentify opportunities to improve asset lifecycle management and maximize the return on facilities investmentsPromote adherence to applicable safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policiesSupport risk mitigation and business continuity strategies related to facilities, equipment, and infrastructurePartner with Operations, Risk, and other functional leaders on incident response, prevention strategies, and corrective actionsCommunicate changes openly, build support for initiatives, solicit and encourage feedback, anticipate resistance to change, explain the rationale behind changes, and follow up to ensure successful implementationMaintain high standards of integrity and act consistently with the overall values of the businessFully and actively participate in company-sponsored learning activities and seek personal growth intellectually and organizationallyRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experienceMinimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in facilities management, maintenance, service operations, or related operational leadershipSignificant experience managing facilities or service operations within a multi-unit, geographically dispersed environmentDemonstrated success leading large, distributed teams and developing high-performing organizationsExperience leading managers, technicians, and/or other multi-level facilities or service teamsDemonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholdersStrong business acumen with demonstrated experience managing budgets, vendors, capital expenditures, and operational performance metricsProven ability to develop and implement scalable programs, processes, policies, and standardsExperience developing and managing strategic vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance managementDemonstrated analytical, financial, mathematical, and reasoning skillsStrong decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and develop effective solutionsStrategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into practical operational strategiesExcellent communication skills - written, verbal, and and other restaurant infrastructure preferredLocation Requirements:This is a remote-based position and requires the ability to travel to restaurant locations, markets, corporate meetings, vendor meetings, and other business locations as needed. Must be able to accommodate a variable work schedule based on business needs, including occasional evening, weekend, or holiday travel.
