Machine Learning Researcher

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Machine Learning Researcher to join our team. Responsibilities Researching and implementing machine learning models using modern techniques to be integrated into the team’s systems Analyzing data sets to reveal the underlying statistical structure and useful patterns therein Crafting novel non‑textbook machine learning models and pipelines, with a focus on neural networks Collaborating with other team members to handle relevant practical business and technological concerns and to integrate models into production systems Qualifications A bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in CS, Math, or a related field Working knowledge of modern machine learning through study in courses, books, personal projects, or work experience Experience using ML packages (e.g. Pytorch), distributed computing, Cuda, Git/Linux/Code review Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python or C++ Passionate about applying modern machine learning methods to financial problems Strong communication skills The ability to be a creative problem solver with attention‑to‑detail Anticipated New York annual base salary range $150,000-200,000, plus eligible for performance-based bonus Benefits Tower is headquartered in New York City, and has offices around the globe.
