Customer Support Consultant - Bilingual (French & English)

Position Overview Our Customer Support Consultants are the direct line between IDEXX and our customers. They are crucial to achieving our Purpose. This role is best suited to organized, passionate communicators who strive to help veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and animal healthcare diagnostic professionals keep pets healthy. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast‑paced environment, navigating a variety of inquiries to provide a solution to our customer every five minutes on average (50–70 calls daily). They must be able to multitask, resolve inquiries via multiple communication methods, and document solutions while on call. The role is full‑time, remote, and provides virtual onboarding, training, and support. Responsibilities Act as the liaison between customers and the IDEXX laboratories. Answer customer questions and quickly and effectively resolve issues. Provide and clarify laboratory test results. Coordinate follow‑up tests on samples and help coordinate pickup and delivery of samples. Qualifications Fluent in French (preferably Quebecois) and English. Highly motivated, goal‑oriented, strong collaborator. Proven track record of providing extraordinary customer service. Experience in a technical field, veterinary practice, laboratory setting, or contact center is helpful. Strong computer and technical skills. Master problem‑solving with strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a multitasking environment. Ability to learn quickly and apply skills and abilities to a variety of customer interactions. Superb listening and communication skills, both verbal and written. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related or scientific discipline, or equivalent experience. Ability to be on the phone for 8 hours a day in a quiet workspace. When working from a virtual office, must be available by telephone, voicemail, email, and Microsoft Teams during scheduled business hours, and maintain a high‑speed hardwired internet connection (minimum 15 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload). The company will supply a laptop, docking station, monitor(s), and headset, which will need to be maintained. Schedule Schedule flexibility is required. Work 8.5 hours between 11:30 am and 8:00 pm EST Monday‑Friday, plus Saturdays 9:00 am–5:30 pm EST on a rotating basis. Reliable and dependable attendance is essential.
