Job Details Job Location: Hartselle Emergency Department - Hartselle, AL 35640 Position Type: PRN - .2 Job Shift: Any Job Category: Health Care Job Summary: Collectand accurately input into the hospital registration system. Obtainsignatures on all appropriate forms and issueall required notices to the patient or appropriate family member. Verifyinsurance, identifycertification requirements, and obtainthem when necessary. Notifyappropriate supervisory personnel if patient present for services and authorization is required but not on file. Calculateestimated amount due and request payment using the hospital approved scripts. Accurately and thoroughly documentpertinent events regarding the handling of the account, including researching prior accounts. Demonstrateand encourageteam behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences. Upholdand promotepatient safety and quality. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: One to two years of clerical skills required. Insurance verification and hospital or medical experience preferred. Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent customer service skills required.
