Plant Managers lead and direct the team for the day-to-day operations and production of asphalt.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDirects and supervises all plant personnelDetermines personnel schedules and coordination of workEnsures product compliance with all company and all governmental agency (local, state, and federal) regulationsEnsures environmental compliance with all company and all governmental agency (local, state, and federal) regulationsPlans and oversees all preventative maintenance, maintenance projects, repairs, and contractors Works to achieve annual budget and control plant costsFollows and promotes all safety policies and practicesAll other duties as assignedSkills and EducationRequiredHigh School diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of three (3) years in management and/or leadership positionMinimum of five (5) years in construction, manufacturing, or production Basic understanding of chemical and mechanical engineeringSolid math and reading skills, and the ability to understand technical manualsAptitude for learning new tasks and skillsPreferredEducation in business, engineering, trades, or related disciplineBasic knowledge of laboratory functionsJob RequirementsAbility to work in and lead a team. as well as the ability to work independently without close supervisionMust be able to work overtime as neededWillingness to be flexible in schedulingAbility to safely lift at least 50 pounds, occasionally enter confined spaces, tolerate scents common to fuels and asphalt operationAbility to perform work which requires frequent and regular movement of wrists, hands, and/or fingersAbility to perform work which requires frequent and regular walking and standingAbility to see, hear, talk, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity Benefits Our comprehensive benefits package includes: Competitive pay401(k) matching & profit sharingHealth, Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceShort- and Long-Term Disability PlansAdditional voluntary benefitsPaid holidays, vacation, and sick leaveTuition assistanceWork EnvironmentThis position requires its responsibilities to be performed in an asphalt emulsions manufacturing plant. Plants are outdoors and may require that work be done in adverse weather condition. Work conditions may involve exposure to hot materials, chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, gases, and other substances used in a construction environment.
