Position Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Accounting Professional to manage our day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate possesses hands‑on experience utilizing Sage accounting software to process transactions, oversee the general ledger, and support month‑end close procedures. You will ensure data accuracy, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide financial reporting to drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations: Process daily financial transactions including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll. General Ledger: Reconcile bank and credit card statements, balance sheet accounts, and resolve any financial discrepancies. Software Management: Leverage Sage to maintain accurate data entry, automate routine billing, and generate custom financial reports. Month/Year‑End Close: Assist in preparing and posting journal entries, trial balances, and adjusting entries in preparation for the monthly close process. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections for management review. Compliance & Audit: Organize and maintain financial records, ensuring all documentation aligns with GAAP and supports both internal and external audits. Qualifications & Requirements Software Skills: Proven proficiency in Sage (Sage 50, Sage 100, or Sage Intacct). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables). Experience: 2–5 years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Core Competencies: Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, high attention to detail, and excellent problem‑solving skills.
