Data Management Manager Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid 2 to 3 Days Onsite) Duration: 6-Month Contract (Strong Likelihood of Ongoing Extensions) Interview: Phone Screen + Onsite Technical Interview Client Note Local Dallas-area candidates only LinkedIn with location Strong leadership experience managing large enterprise data teams required Experience leading Data Lake and enterprise data modernization initiatives is highly preferred About the Role Client is seeking a strategic, hands‑on Data Management Manager to lead a high‑performing team of 40 to 50 data professionals responsible for enterprise data platforms, governance, modernisation, and operational excellence. This role will oversee legacy enterprise data environments while driving the migration toward modern cloud‑native Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures. Reporting to the Director of the Data Tower, the successful candidate will provide technical leadership, people management, data governance oversight, and enterprise transformation leadership while partnering with architecture, engineering, and business teams across the organization. Required 8+ years of Data Management, Data Engineering, or Data Operations experience 5+ years leading large technical teams (20+ professionals, preferably 40+) Strong people leadership and organizational management skills Enterprise Data Platform experience (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata) Data Lake and Lakehouse Architecture experience Enterprise Data Modernization and Migration experience ETL/ELT design and implementation experience Data Modeling and Distributed Data Systems expertise Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills Strategic planning and enterprise program leadership experience Skills Databricks experience Snowflake experience Azure Synapse Analytics Hadoop ecosystem experience Ab Initio and Master Data Management (MDM) experience Kafka or Spark Streaming experience DevOps/DataOps practices Cloud or Data Platform Certifications Key Competencies Strategic Leadership Enterprise Data Governance Digital Transformation Team Building & Mentorship Data-Driven Decision Making Executive Stakeholder Management Operational Excellence Innovation & Continuous Improvement #J-18808-Ljbffr
