Position Overview: As the Bakery Manager, you will oversee daily bakery operations, product presentation, staff supervision, and customer satisfaction. You will play a critical role in maintaining department performance, food safety standards, and inspiring a positive, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead, train, and manage bakery team members, ensuring high standards for service and performance Oversee production schedules for breads, pastries, cakes, and specialty items Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality control guidelines Monitor and manage inventory, ordering, and product rotation Support and execute custom cake orders, seasonal promotions, and merchandising displays Drive department sales and profitability through product knowledge and team engagement Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Communicate effectively with store leadership and team members Assist with hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of bakery staff Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old Prior experience in bakery management or food production leadership required Knowledge of bakery operations, food safety standards, and recipe compliance Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively Customer-focused with a passion for food and service Willing to obtain a food handler permit (assistance provided by McKeever’s) Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, and repetitive motions Comfortable working in warm and cold environments Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Employee Benefits: Daily Pay Option – Access your earnings when you need them Medical Benefits – Available to full-time team members 401(k) Program – Plan for your future with our retirement savings program On-the-Job Training – Grow your leadership and technical skills with hands-on support Why Join McKeever Price Chopper?
