We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Global Category Manager Principal to lead the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of electrical equipment for our data center development projects. This role is responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle for key electrical systems including HV Transformers, transformers, Circuit Breakers, Instrument Transformers, generators, and MV/LV electrical distribution equipment . The ideal candidate brings a strong background in power generation, MW switchgear, MV transformers, UPS, LV Switchgear, building systems, ATS, PDU, and panel boards for mission critical environment s.

How will you make a difference?

• Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with organizational objectives
• Lead end-to-end RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) from initiation through supplier selection and award
• Conduct industry analysis and supply base assessments to evaluate supplier capacity and capabilities
• Manage supplier onboarding, qualification, and new product development processes
• Drive supplier performance and relationship management (SPRM) initiatives
• Assess and mitigate supply chain risks through strategic planning
• Oversee category lifecycle management and transition strategies
• Implement sustainability and social responsibility initiatives within the supply chain
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics including cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
• 3+ years focused on industrial equipment or mission critical energy infrastructure
• Experience in data centers, or mission-critical energy infrastructure is required
• Deep understanding of data center industrial equipment and associated vendors (OEMs and integrators)
• Proven track record in global procurement and supplier relationship management
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management tools, data analytics, and BI tools
• Excellent project management, contract management, change management and communication skills
• Knowledge of sustainability and social responsibility in supply chain

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, MS in Supply Chain or advanced degree in engineering or other quantitative disciplines
• Certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or Six Sigma Black Belt
• Direct data center experience preferred, Candidates from adjacent sectors must demonstrate the ability to ramp quickly on data center-specific nuances.
• Proven track record in implementing process improvement initiatives and driving operational excellence

Location and Travel

• Work location is flexible to Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, Austin, TX, or Alexandria, VA. 100% Remote will be considered on a case by case basis.
• Regular travel, as needed, to Fleet offices as well as to meet with Vendors.

Expected Salary Range DOE

• $160,000 - $200,000 + Annual Discretionary Bonus
