THE OPPORTUNITY
Join a high-impact engineering team where you'll play a key role in designing, automating, and optimizing the cloud infrastructure and delivery platforms that power our products and services. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll help shape secure, scalable, and reliable solutions across AWS and Azure while driving automation, platform modernization, CI/CD excellence, operational readiness, and cloud best practices.

This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering. You'll partner closely with software developers, security, and technology teams to improve system performance, strengthen reliability, streamline deployments, and enhance the overall developer experience. Success requires balancing scalability, security, maintainability, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness while delivering practical solutions aligned with business priorities.

OUR DEVOPS ECOSYSTEM

You'll work in a modern cloud-native environment supporting innovative healthcare technology solutions. Our platform spans AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes and Docker container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, and automated CI/CD pipelines. Partnering closely with software engineering teams, you'll help build and evolve scalable microservices-based platforms while driving automation, reliability, security, observability, and operational excellence.

Technologies include: AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Python, Java, React, Prometheus, Datadog, ELK, Jira, and Confluence.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in computer science, software engineering or related field is preferred.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including :

• DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related experience supporting software delivery, infrastructure, and operational environments.
• AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms, including deployment, administration, monitoring, security, reliability, and operational support activities.
• CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release management, and software delivery tooling such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or comparable platforms.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and environment automation using Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or comparable platforms.
• Monitoring, logging, observability, incident response, operational support, system reliability, and platform performance management.
• Scripting, automation, and tooling using Python, Bash, PowerShell, Groovy, or comparable technologies.
• Collaboration with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders to support delivery, reliability, and operational objectives.
• Large, complex software implementation, integration, enhancement, modernization, or platform initiatives within distributed, cloud-hosted, and highly collaborative environments.
• Security, compliance, governance, and operational controls within regulated or security-conscious environments.

Additional experience preferred for this role includes one or more of the following :

• Healthcare insurance, including claims administration, benefits administration, eligibility, enrollment, product administration, or related functions.
• Group, voluntary, or employee benefits insurance, including underwriting, rating, product administration, implementation, case installation, benefits administration, or related functions; or
• A closely related insurance, benefits administration, healthcare technology, regulated data, or Insurtech environment

WORK LOCATION

This position is designated as hybrid and requires regular in-office work in one of the following offices: Boca Raton, FL or Denver, CO or Midtown New York City. This is not a remote role .

On-site attendance and the ability to meet minimum in-office requirements, as well as additional in-office time based on business needs, are essential functions of the role. In-office requirements are determined by the Company and may vary based on team, project, or operational needs

HIRING PAY RANGE - ANNUALIZED

Boca Raton, FL: 116,000 – 145,000

Denver, CO: 132,000 – 165,000

Midtown NYC: 140,000 – 175,000

The stated hiring pay range is our good faith belief at the time of this posting. Final compensation placement will vary based on multiple factors such as position level placement, experience, knowledge, geographic location, competencies, and skill level as well as internal equity.

DISCRETIONARY BONUS COMPENSATION

The Company may, in its sole discretion, determine whether to provide discretionary bonus payments. Any discretionary bonus opportunity, eligibility for consideration, bonus determination, and bonus amount are determined solely by the Company and are not guaranteed. The Company reserves the right to modify, discontinue, or decline to offer discretionary bonuses at any time, with or without notice.
