Upward Bound Office Assistant

: Overview: This position is located at Navajo Mountain High School. General office duties for 2-3 hours a week, as needed. She will copy and give participant applications that require a parent signature and scan/email to UB office, scan participant transcripts at the end of each term, coordinate a meeting room forparticipant luncheons, etc. Advisor work hours

• 2-3 hours per week as needed, academic school year only.
• Hourly - $15.00
• Monday-Thursday- flexible and as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the UB advisor at NMHS, Shaniah Chee, to disseminate UB information to participants.
• Copy and give participant various applications that require a parent signature and scan to UB advisor, program coordinator and/or director.
• Copy and scan term transcripts to UB advisor, program coordinator, and/or director.
• Reserve a room for luncheons when program coordinator and/or director visit for workshop presentations.

Qualifications:

• At least nine months to one year of experience working with disadvantaged students and knowledge of the Upward Bound program.
• Basic office duties; including scanning, emailing, general knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, and other duties as assigned.
• Commitment to advocate for disadvantaged students with faculty and staff at Navajo Mountain High School.
