Air Reserve Technician Officer Position
The primary purpose of this position is to manage the total operations function of the squadron on a daily basis. Duties include:
- Supervising, directing, and monitoring operations programs for the training of a Reserve flying unit, including flight operations, unit training, intelligence, communications, and tactical planning.
- Being responsible to the Aircraft Operations Officer/Air Commander for all matters pertaining to operational readiness and effectiveness of the unit. Directing all operations and maintenance training programs for the Squadron.
- Instructing or examining pilots in flying proficiency, planning flights and training missions, evaluating pilots, and planning course outlines.
- Ensuring the operational readiness and effectiveness of the unit.
- Managing the Squadron's flying hour program to ensure equitable distribution among the assigned aircrews.
