Role Overview

The Business Development / Marketing Account Assistant will lead BrandNation’s growth efforts by driving new client acquisition and managing newly onboarded accounts. This role is responsible for owning the full sales cycle, building strategic relationships with local business leaders, and generating consistent revenue through proactive prospecting and networking.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive growth in the Houston market by identifying, prospecting, and closing new business opportunities.
• Own the full sales cycle from outreach and meetings to negotiation and contract execution.
• Generate leads through outbound efforts, networking events, and local business engagement.
• Manage newly acquired accounts, ensuring smooth onboarding and acting as the primary point of contact.
• Build strong relationships with business owners and marketing leaders to drive retention and long-term growth.
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
• Lead discovery sessions to understand client needs and position strategic solutions.
• Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
• Represent BrandNation at Houston networking events and industry functions to expand pipeline and visibility.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of sponsorship sales, account management, and customer service experience
• Proven track record in sales, promotions, client success, or account management roles
• Strong ability to manage and grow client accounts while driving new revenue
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to lead a promotions team and work flexible hours (including some weekends)
