Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Austin, TX, with 3 to 6 years of civil litigation experience. This role involves significant responsibility, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. The position offers direct client contact and mentorship from experienced attorneys, focusing on matters affecting Texas businesses, property owners, contractors, and suppliers. Duties Collaborate with partners, attorneys, paralegals, and clients on litigation and transactional matters. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, contracts, liens, deeds, and settlement documents. Conduct legal research and prepare written analysis and recommendations. Manage competing deadlines and take ownership of assigned matters. Requirements Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Licensed and in good standing in the State of Texas. 3 to 6 years of civil litigation experience. Strong research, analytical, and writing skills. Experience drafting litigation documents and managing deadlines under pressure. EducationDoctor of LawCertificationsLicensed Attorney in Texas Experience in construction, real estate, commercial, lien and bond, or contract disputes preferred. Experience with hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, or trial preparation preferred. Comfortable working directly with clients and providing practical, business-minded advice.
