Pay: $110,000 - 168,000 Annual
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive orthopedic care in a clinic and surgical setting. The provider will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients, assist with orthopedic procedures, support surgical care, and collaborate closely with physicians to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct patient assessments, physical exams, and medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat orthopedic injuries and conditions.
• Order and interpret labs, X-rays, MRIs, EKGs, and other diagnostic tests.
• Perform procedures such as:
o Joint injections and aspirations
o Casting and splinting
o Fracture and dislocation reductions
o Wound care and laceration repair
• Assist physicians with surgeries and specialized procedures in the operating room.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education.
• Prescribe medications and orthopedic devices as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records.
• Participate in call rotation as required.
Qualifications:
• Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner.
• Active Illinois Nurse Practitioner license.
• Current BLS Certification.
• DEA and Controlled Substance License.
• Orthopedic experience preferred.
