Overview

RD Nutrition Consultants is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition consulting services for two behavioral health facilities in Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity for a dietitian seeking a flexible, hybrid position that combines onsite patient care with remote work while making a meaningful impact on patient wellness and overall care.

Position Details

• Setting: Behavioral Health
  
• Locations: Two behavioral health facilities in Michigan
  
• Schedule: Flexible
  
• Hours: 15–20 hours per week
  
• Work Type: Hybrid (1–2 onsite visits per week; remaining hours completed remotely)
  
• Compensation: $32.00–$40.00 per hour (based on experience)
  
• Travel Reimbursement: Paid travel time at your hourly rate

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nutrition assessments and counseling for patients as appropriate.
  
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
  
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and the interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient care.
  
• Offer guidance on nutrition-related aspects of behavioral health conditions.
  
• Complete nutrition documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate.
  
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  
• Perform additional nutrition-related duties within the Registered Dietitian scope of practice.
  

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (required).
  
• Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or clinical nutrition preferred.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Comfortable working independently in both onsite and remote environments.
  
• Experience with electronic medical records and documentation systems.
  
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
