While Rockland County has plenty to offer, both the mountains and the beach are within a few hours# drive.# DESCRIPTION Performs a variety of duties in the Center, as a member of the surgical team.# Scrubs on all types of cases performed at the Center, including orthopedic, pain and local cases.# Assists in preparation for cases by #picking instruments# and set-up and maintenance of sterile field.# May also function as surgeon#s second assistant.# Assist OR team in all aspects of room turnover.# Pick soft goods and instrumentation to facilitate preparation for following days# surgery. QUALIFICATIONS# High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited training program.# Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program through NBSTSA.#1-2 years of ambulatory operating room experience preferred.#CST Certification required.# BLS Certification required.#Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills.# Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and to organize work in order of importance. $40.00 STARTING AT
