Caregiver – Dearborn Heights, MI (1:1 Caregiver in a Residential Home)

ExpertCare is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and dedicated Caregiver to provide 1:1 support for a 49-year-old male in Dearborn Heights diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. This position requiring hands-on assistance and attentive support throughout daily routines.

Schedule:

Monday (Split Shift): 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Every Other Weekend: 12-hour shifts on both Saturday and Sunday (start/end times flexible)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide total care support, including hands-on assistance with daily living activities
Assist with total Personal Care as well as hygiene routines and provide prompts as needed
Support meal preparation and feeding assistance
Encourage and assist with light exercise and mobility
Provide companionship and promote socialization
Complete light household chores related to client care
Support skill-building activities and overall quality of life
Ensure a safe, respectful, and positive environment at all times

Compassionate, patient, and dependable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and follow care plans
Comfortable supporting individuals with varying abilities
Reliable transportation to and from case
Ability to pass required background checks and screenings
Must be 18 years or older
Must be dependable, patient, and compassionate
Must be reliable
