Maintenance Technician

Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturing facility in Gray Court, SC. Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing issues.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
• Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures before they occur.
• Replace defective components and verify proper equipment operation after repairs.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
• Use hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and measuring devices safely and effectively.
• Perform light welding, fabrication, or machining as needed.
• Communicate equipment concerns and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area while following all safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements, and company policies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with equipment installations and upgrades as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Experience maintaining production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) is a plus.
• Experience using SAP, CMMS, or other maintenance management systems preferred.
• Forklift certification or the ability to become certified is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work on concrete floors for extended periods.
• Comfortable working around moving machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work overtime and scheduled hours as business needs require.
