RN Unit Manager
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a Nurse Manager for a 60-bed unit with a mix of skilled and long-term care residents. This position is primarily Monday-Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm. Unit Managers are assigned to an on-call rotation schedule which may include working in the evening, after midnight, or on the weekends.
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center; named for two Medal of Honor recipients – Colonel Van Barfoot and Colonel Carl Sitter – provides the gold standard in quality care for Virginia's Veterans. This single-level facility features 200 single-occupancy rooms across four nursing units.

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Provides supervision to staff.
- Manages of resident care and care plans.
- Conducts appropriate reporting and rounding with safety monitoring.
- Evaluates policies, programs and services consistent with the Department of Nursing procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in VA.
- Experience in leadership or management.
Additional Considerations:
- Nursing experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting.
