Vassar Brothers Medical Center is located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River, just 75 minutes north of New York City. Vassar Brothers Medical Center is a state of the art facility featuring a new 752,000 square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion, 263 private medical/surgical patient rooms, and 30 critical care rooms. Consistently ranked as one of the strongest cardiac programs in the United States and one of the Top 100 Heart Hospitals by Modern HealthCare Magazine , Vassar Brothers Medical Center is a place where you can deliver exceptional care.
About Our Program:
As a Level II, American College of Surgeons-verified Trauma Center , Vassar Brothers Medical Center provides comprehensive and expeditious care for victims of traumatic injuries. Our multidisciplinary trauma team includes:
- Board-certified trauma surgeons
- Orthopedic surgeons
- Neurosurgeons
- Emergency medicine physicians
- Anesthesiologists
- Radiologists
- Critical care specialists
- Nurses, and rehabilitation experts
The team provides 24-hour immediate coverage to assess and treat patients according to national guidelines, with a focus on maximizing patient recovery and outcomes. Our comprehensive approach includes:
- Rapid Assessment & Stabilization
- Advanced Diagnostics & Imaging
- Life-Saving Surgical Interventions
- Comprehensive Orthopedic Trauma Care
- Seamless Transition to Rehabilitation
The ideal candidate is:
- BE/BC in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma required
- New graduates and experienced surgeons encouraged to apply
Compensation for this position is a competitive $1,700 for a 24-hour non-restricted call shift.
