Job Details Job Location: JHCC-SNF - MILWAUKEE, WI 53202 Job Shift: AM - 1st Job Purpose The Medical Records Clerk at OVATION COMMUNITIES is responsible for managing and maintaining patient medical records in a secure, efficient, and organized manner. This role is crucial in ensuring that all medical documentation is accurately filed and readily accessible to authorized personnel, supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness. File and retrieve medical documents as needed by healthcare professionals. Adhere to confidentiality and privacy regulations to protect patient information. Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure timely and accurate documentation. Assist in the transition to electronic medical records systems, if applicable. Respond to requests for medical records from authorized parties promptly. Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure compliance with regulations. Support administrative tasks related to medical records management, including data entry and filing. Qualifications Required Education High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical records or healthcare administrative role. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical terminology. Required Skills and Abilities Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and maintain accurate records. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with healthcare professionals and patients. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
