We are currently seeking a board certified / board eligible Electrophysiologist to join our well-established cardiology practice. Our team comprises 2 noninvasive, 2 interventional and as well as a team of 3 advanced practice providers. For confidential and immediate consideration contact: Tammie Chute, Physician and APP Recruitment at WellSpan Health View email address on click.appcast.io or cell phone at View phone number on click.appcast.io Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: Exercise autonomy in clinical decision-making Diagnose and treat many common acute and chronic problems Prescribe and manage medications and other therapies Provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic health services Perform physical exams and health histories Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies Perform procedures as applicable to specialty Practice in collaboration with all members of the health care team and refers to other providers when necessary Engage in research, education, patient advocacy, and administrative activities Acts as an educator to mid-levels, nursing, and administrative staff within the office Dictates, reviews, and completes medical record upon completion of applicable visit or procedure Obtains necessary CME credits in order to maintain necessary state licensure Participates in monthly provider and staff meetings and other requested meetings Assigns appropriate CPT and ICD9 codes to office and inpatient visits Responds to messages and phone calls in a prompt and timely fashion Common Expectations: Participates in Medical Staff activities as required and/or as requested. Observes the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Hospital and the Medical Staff. Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required. Upon Hire Required and Completion of a residency. Upon Hire Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Teaching skills. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Good phone skills and excellent customer service. Organized, sets priorities, and able to multi-task.
