Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift to support our client's healthcare facility in Columbus, OH. Job Details: Schedule: EST, 7:45AM-4:15PM Location: Columbus, OH Job Type: Local Contract Contract Length: 20 Week/s Pay Range: $17/Hour - $19.00/Hour *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and specimen collection accurately and safely, including pediatric and geriatric patients. Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures. Explain collection procedures to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence. Complete daily activities accurately and within required timeframes. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information. Protect patient confidentiality and ensure accuracy of all information. Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude with patients, clients, employees, and the public. Work independently with minimal on-site supervision while maintaining quality standards. Demonstrate flexibility to support staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call assignments. Job Requirements Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience; 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred. Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients. Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Keyboarding and data-entry experience required. Retail or service-industry customer service experience preferred. Education & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
