What You'll Do

• Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, classrooms, common areas, and other facility spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Replenish restroom and facility supplies, including soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and cleaning products.
• Clean windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, and entryways.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and carpet cleaners.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, damages, or repair needs to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with room setups, furniture movement, and special event preparations as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures regarding the handling, storage, and use of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain inventory of custodial supplies and notify management of replenishment needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, and workplace safety standards.
• Perform seasonal and deep-cleaning activities as assigned.
• Assist with exterior cleaning, or grounds maintenance when required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and follow Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with building occupants and visitors.
• Dependable attendance and reliability.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach frequently.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment and tools safely.
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in office buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, manufacturing facilities, or other assigned locations.
• May require evening, overnight, weekend, or holiday shifts.
• Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
